Vince Wilfork’s son to play at Houston

Get ready to feel old. The son of Houston Texans defensive tackle Vince Wilfork is going to play college football.

D’Aundre Holmes-Wilfork has announced that he’s going to be attending the University of Houston as a preferred walk on this year. The announcement came via a post on Twitter.

In a statement to the Boston Herald, Homles-Wilfork talked about his decision to play for the Cougars.

“I love the school and atmosphere, the coaches get just as hyped as the players do,” he told the paper. “The school is also close enough that I’m not to far from my family. It’s the perfect fit.”

Holmes-Wilfork will play defensive tackle for the school, and will start this fall. He played his high school football at Friendswood in the Houston area last year.
