The Ecuadorian soccer club Barcelona SC (not to be confused with FC Barcelona in Spain) made some headlines when they signed 35-year-old Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho on a guest deal. Coincidentally, Ronaldinho also played on the real FC Barcelona once upon a time at the height of his powers.
Ecuardorian Barcelona must really value experience and veteran leadership, as they made another signing, one nearly three times the age of Ronaldinho.
Enter 102-years-young Maria Guadalupe. She’s destined to be a global superstar with Barcelona.
Guadalupe has been a fan of Barcelona for 91 years, so the team brought her in for training with the players. And she wouldn’t even let her walker get in the way of kicking the ball around.
As part of the honorary contract, Guadalupe was given her own Barcelona kit and watched a match against Universidad Católica, we’re guessing those seats were fit enough for the superfan she is.
