March Madness 2016: Ricky Rubio had a perfect bracket entering Day 2

Score two for Ricky Rubio against your zero. Or maybe one, if you still have a perfect bracket, and another one if you too are an NBA point guard.

After Tourney Day 1, only 14,525 brackets out of more than 13 million remained perfect in ESPN’s Tournament Challenge. That’s .01% FYI. And Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio is among that .01%, yes he called Hawaii, Little Rock and Yale apparently.

Not bad for a Spaniard, I guess these Europeans just know basketball. Someone check Kristaps Porzingis’ bracket! I guess since they never went to a school in the tournament, they’re better able to detach any emotion from what’s at stake and luck objectively. Although I’m not sure how anyone could objectively pick Middle Tennessee State over a two seed as strong as Michigan State.

On the court Rubio is pretty solid as well, averaging 10.2 points, 8.8 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game; scoring in double digits in four straight games.
