A former four-star talent from the Atlanta area, Ledbetter’s arrest record states that he was charged with making or possessing fake IDs as well as providing or possessing alcohol while underage. Ledbetter was released on $3,000 bond.
The 18-year-old saw limited action last season and though neither the university nor the football program has commented on his arrest, one can’t help but assume that a suspension may be forthcoming. Georgia is about to enter a new era under longtime Alabama assistant Kirby Smart, who is expected to run a tight ship. That means there will be little patience for off-field shenanigans, no matter how harmless they may seem, so Ledbetter will probably be disciplined in some way.
