Tennessee quarterback Josh Dobbs has looked like one of the most promising quarterbacks in the SEC and he has improved over the last two seasons. However, he has also shown that he can get the job done in the classroom as he is an aerospace engineering major and just completed an internship with Pratt and Whitney, a prestigious global aerospace manufacturer.
However, all of this doesn’t seem to have impressed ESPN PAC-12 writer Ted Miller. He talked about Dobbs’ story and said that he would just be another person if he were to attend Stanford.
"Josh Dobbs at Tennessee is a fantastic story. He's an average guy at Stanford" – @TedMillerRK with @ESPNMcGee

Dobbs took to Twitter after seeing his name get rather slandered on Twitter. He called out both Miller and FOX Sports’ Clay Travis, who seemed to agree with the PAC-12 writer.
AVERAGE wow! Bold comment on person YOU DON'T know!
Everyday I wake & realize I don't have what it takes to be AVG! https://t.co/iFe5axD1ZQ

Maybe Josh Dobbs was more concerned about his football future than his academic future. He had an impressive junior season in 2015, throwing for just under 2,300 yards and 15 touchdowns, while rushing for nearly 700 yards and 11 touchdowns.
While his decision to go to Tennessee was a football move, Dobbs has certainly proven that he is serious about his future beyond the gridiron as well.
