Former Georgia linebacker Leonard Floyd’s name has been one rising in stock in the days leading up to tomorrow’s NFL Draft and according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, he could wind up being a Top 10 pick simply because what he showcased in college was only the tip of the iceberg regarding his overall talent.
Player who is rising & appears headed inside the top 10: #UGA LB Leonard Floyd. Teams caught a small glimpse of his skill set in college

Floyd spent three years with the Bulldogs and posted 182 tackles (26.5 for a loss) with five forced fumbles and 17 sacks over that stretch. He has the ability to play in multiple schemes and could also be an excellent edge rusher, but to say that he’s a Top 10 pick in a draft as deep as this year’s sounds like just a bit of a stretch. Granted, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Giants hold the ninth and tenth picks and could be in the market for a pass-rusher, but Floyd is also going to be 24 by the time Week 1 kicks off this season.
Still, a 6-foot-6, 244 pound frame can’t be taught, so be sure to stay tuned to Campus Sports for further updates on Leonard Floyd’s path to the NFL!
