On Tuesday evening, the MMA world learned that former UFC champion Chris Weidman was forced to withdraw from his scheduled title fight at UFC 199. Now, top middleweight Michael Bisping is offering to be the man to save the day by taking on current champion Luke Rockhold on short notice.
After learning that Weidman was out of the bout, Bisping offered up his services to the UFC brass.
Training camps separate the boys from the men. This sport isn't for everyone. 2 weeks notice? I'm down!!! @ufc #realfighter #fightersfighter

I've seen less brittle Pringles than some of these middle weights. #usada

Bisping, who is riding a three-fight winning streak, is coming off the most impressive victory of his career.
Back in February, the British veteran was able to defeat one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all-time, Anderson Silva, by unanimous decision. Parlaying that win into a title shot would give Bisping the chance at glory that he has long been in pursuit of.
UFC 199 takes place June 4 at The Forum in Inglewood, California. Also featured on the card is a bantamweight title fight between current champion Dominick Cruz and his bitter rival, Urijah Faber.
