Report: CB Kendall Sheffield to transfer from Alabama

The Alabama Crimson Tide are reportedly set to lose one of the top members of the 2015 recruiting class. According to a report by Touchdown Alabama, former five-star recruit Kendall Sheffield is set to transfer from the program.

Sheffield had been absent from recent practices and it is because it appears he left campus over the weekend.

Coming out of high school, the 6-foot, 185-pound cornerback was rated as the No. 20 overall prospect in the nation and the No. 4 cornerback. Unfortunately, after taking a redshirt his freshman season, he will leave Tuscaloosa without ever seeing the field.

There is no word on where Sheffield could land, but he did previously hold offers from the likes of Florida State, Texas A&M, USC and Ohio State.

Wherever he lands, the team will be getting a raw, but very talented player ready to make an immediate fight for playing time.
