Plenty of people have been sharing their predictions regarding the starting quarterback for Alabama football. The Crimson Tide are currently watching junior Cooper Bateman battle freshmen Blake Barnett and Jalen Hurts for the starting job and currently there is no clear-cut No. 1.
Because of that, we could potentially see the Bulldogs using multiple quarterbacks early on in the year much like Ohio State did with J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones a season ago.
At least that is what ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit appears to believe.
Herbstreit discussed the Alabama quarterback battle on social media when he shared his belief that Barnett and Hurts could be the alternating starters when the year kicks off. It’s an interesting opinion, considering many would favor Bateman, the only quarterback with previous game experience.
Wouldn't be surprised to see 2 QBs early in the year until someone establishes himself. https://t.co/AzBaeXr5sD

Blake and Hurts is my guess. Or maybe Bateman and Hurts if Blake continues to make mistakes. https://t.co/LsPBaCqx7V

Do you agree with Herbstreit? Will we be seeing multiple quarterbacks alternating starts or will Nick Saban and Lane Kiffin settle on one signal-caller? We will get our answer in just a few weeks.
Alabama opens the 2016 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 3 against the USC Trojans at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
