Video: Nick Saban shows human side, jumps in lake with Tim Tebow

Nick Saban is known as a no-nonsense man. So when the Alabama head coach was visited by ESPN’s Marty Smith and, gasp, Tim Tebow in an interview dubbed “Nick Saban like you’ve never seen him before,” it certainly caught some attention.

Saban was visited by the college football analysts at his home on Lake Burton in Georgia, when he was seen smiling, joking around and even taking the leap of faith into the lake with Timmy Terrific.

Seeing Saban so relaxed and engaging was as rare as a yeti sighting, so it was a brilliant job by ESPN.

Check it out below:

Who knows, maybe all of these national championships are finally starting to take their toll on Saban. Or perhaps he’s just enjoying a final trip to the lake before a long and grueling season.

We’ll go with the latter.

Alabama kicks off its 2016 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 3 against the USC Trojans at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
