Former USC Trojans head coach Steve Sarkisian is getting his second chance.
Following Saturday’s shellacking of the Trojans by the defending national champion Alabama Crimson Tide, reports surfaced that Nick Saban could be adding the former USC coach as a special assistant.
On Monday, that became official when Alabama announced the hiring of Sarkisian as an offensive analyst.

Sarkisian was fired by USC last season after his life spiraled out of control due because of alcohol abuse. Since then, Sarkisian has been working to get his life back in order and now he has an opportunity for redemption on one of the best coaching staffs in the country.
Say what you want about Nick Saban, but he knows how to bring talented coaches together and it’s great to see him giving Sarkisian another opportunity to get his career off the ground.
Alabama returns to action this weekend against Western Kentucky.
