Alabama WR ArDarius Stewart out for next Saturday

In Saturday’s 48-43 win over the Ole Miss Rebels, Alabama wide receiver ArDarius Stewart went down with an apparent knee injury and did not return to the game. It looks like he will be out of action next week.

Head coach Nick Saban did not seem to give a hopeful update on Stewart’s status and he did confirm that he will miss next week’s game against Kent State. Saban only said they hope he will be back soon.

Hopefully he will be back in a couple of weeks,” Saban said.

Stewart only recorded two yards on four catches Saturday, a week after he had a monster game against Western Kentucky where he had five receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown.

It will be interesting to see how Calvin Ridley and others step up for Stewart, who is arguably one of the best receivers in the SEC and most certainly for the Crimson Tide.
