When the Northwestern Wildcats open Big Ten play against the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday night, the team will be honoring the memory of late Cornhuskers punter Sam Foltz.
Northwestern will honor Foltz, who passed away in a car accident over the summer while returning from a football camp, with a special helmet sticker.
Northwestern announced the news on Monday morning.

What a classy gesture from the Wildcats.
Last weekend, the Oregon Ducks honored Foltz prior to kickoff by placing a bouquet of flowers at the 27-yard line. The Cornhuskers have also opened up a scholarship fund in Foltz’s name.
It is great to see the young man’s memory living on.
The Wildcats and Cornhuskers are set to kickoff under the lights at Ryan Field in Evanston at 7:30 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network.
