LSU AD Joe Alleva privately criticized postponed Florida game

The findings from leaked emails has been all of the rage this political season, but now its spreading into the college football world. On Tuesday, WBRZ News 2 in Baton Rouge released a set of emails from LSU officials which includes athletic director Joe Alleva criticizing the move, calling it “a joke.”

Alleva’s comments came after realizing the Georgia vs. South Carolina game was only delayed one game due to Hurricane Matthew.

LSU vs. Florida was initially scheduled for Oct. 8.

However, after Hurricane Matthew pounded the east coast, the game was postponed. Both teams were able to move around their schedules — thanks to the help of some willing Sun Belt teams — and it will now take place on Nov. 19.

It is already a rivalry game, but thanks to the stubbornness from both sides when initially discussing postponing the game it is safe to say there is some added bad blood.

For now, LSU can enjoy the bye week while preparing for a Nov. 5 meeting with No. 1 Alabama.
