Alabama football: Top JUCO recruit commits to Crimson Tide

In yet the latest installment of the rich getting richer, the Alabama football program has added one of the top recruits in the JUCO ranks.

On Tuesday, four-star Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College defensive end Isaiah Buggs announced he would be committing to the Crimson Tide as a member of the Class of 2017.

Buggs, the No. 4 recruit in JUCO, announced his decision with a statement on social media.

“This process was hard to make, but I will pursue my degree and compete for a national championship with the Alabama Crimson Tide,” Buggs wrote. “Just want everyone to understand how hard this decision was to make.”

Buggs chose Alabama over his home state LSU Tigers, citing the lack of completion on LSU’s staff.

Standing 6-foot-5, 280-pounds, Buggs is the No. 1 weak-side JUCO defensive end. Buggs only solidifies an Alabama recruiting class that is already No. 1 in the country.
