O.J. Howard joins roster of players attending the Senior Bowl

O.J. Howard, the big pass catching tight end has high hopes for the upcoming NFL draft. Considered among the best prospects at his position, Howard could very well end up going in the first round if his current draft grade holds. Obviously, there is work to be done that can either improve his chances, or cost him potentially thousands of dollars. One of those work days will be the Reeses Senior Bowl.
Howard confirmed he will be attending the event and joining a number of his fellow Tide teammates in the process. Ryan Anderson, Dalvin Tomlinson and Cole Mazza have all stated their intent to attend the event as well. Arguably the most intriguing prospect currently on the roster, Howard drew comparisons to Jimmy Graham earlier this month by an AFC East scout. With soft hands and a 6 foot 6 inch, 250 pound frame, Howard is a nightmare running down the field and has the body to play at the highest level.
Tight end is always a position in high demand in the NFL, and after a stellar season, Howard certainly did his part to intrigue scouts with his potential value. Maintaining his high level of play and work ethic through the grueling rookie prospect offseason will be just as telling for NFL scouts, though.
The Reese’s Senior Bowl will be played in Mobile, Alabama on January 28th. Representatives from all NFL teams are expected to be in attendance.
