NFL Draft Rumors: Cam Robinson May Suffer Draft Day Slide

The 2017 NFL Draft class notoriously lacks depth along the offensive line. After several years of franchise-cornerstone quality tackles taken in the top 10, this will be a bad year if you’re looking to protect your quarterback.
Many felt that Alabama left tackle Cam Robinson would be taken early in the first round because of this dearth, but it appears that teams are split on where he will be taken.
In a poll asking six different NFL teams if they thought that Cam Robinson might fall into the late first round of the draft, three said yes, three said no. While his talent and raw potential are obvious, teams sight inconsistency in his play during his junior season as a reason he might slide.
Off the field issues become a factor as well, as he was arrested with a felony gun charge a year ago.
Robinson’s destination appears that it will be determined by things he can no longer change. Even with a great show at pre-draft showcases, it only proves what teams already know: that he is a physical specimen with massive potential.
