Controversial political commentator Tomi Lahren will not be returning to “The Blaze.”
According to a report from the New York Post, Lahren has been “banned permanently” from Glenn Beck’s conservative multi-platform network following comments made on “The View” earlier this month.
During an appearance on “The View,” Lahren drew criticism from the conservative base for revealing she was pro-choice.
The public backlash from the appearance led to Lahren’s show being suspended last week. Now, it appears as though Beck is completely cutting the cord.
“Glenn is reminding the world of his conservative principles by sidelining Tomi after she insulted conservatives by calling them hypocrites,” someone close to Beck told Page Six. “He’s trying to balance being a leading conservative thinker and also someone who can unify the country,” the Beck associate told me. “He just couldn’t sit by and watch as Tomi Lahren said there’s no way for conservatives to justify anything other than being pro-choice.”
Lahren has a huge social media following, so she could ultimately choose to go independent and release her popular “Final Thoughts” videos on her own platforms, but it’s also possible for her to land a new gig with the likes of FOX News reportedly showing interest.
At just 24 years old, Lahren has plenty of time to continue emerging as one of the promising, young conservative stars in the media world.
