Lonzo Ball, the next great Los Angeles Lakers star?
If the UCLA basketball standout has his wish and his father’s projections of his talent prove to be true, fans in L.A. could be very happy with how the 2017 NBA Draft plays out.
During an appearance on ESPN’s First Take Monday morning, Ball discussed the possibility of playing for the Lakers.
According to the 6-foot-6 guard, “it would be a blessing” to take the court at Staples Center.
“The NBA is the NBA, but it would be a blessing to be able to play for the Lakers,” Ball said on ESPN’s “First Take.”
“It’s in L.A., I’m from here, my whole family’s here.”
Ball is projected as a top five pick and the Lakers have a 55.7 percent chance of landing a top three selection in this year’s draft. If the Ball family gets its wish, it will be interesting to see how Lonzo continues to grow with his father trying to constantly steal the spotlight.
