Nick Saban Extends Contract, Will Make More Than $10M In 2017

Alabama football coach Nick Saban received a three-year contract on Tuesday that will make him a handsomely paid head coach this upcoming season.
Saban’s contract, which includes a $4 million signing bonus, was approved Tuesday morning by the university board of trustees’ compensation committee, according to USA TODAY Sports.
As a result of the signing bonus, Saban will earn a whopping $11.125 million in 2017; the highest — by far — of any other college football coach this year.
Saban originally signed a deal with Alabama in 2014, but the restructured contract will now keep him as the leader of the Crimson Tide through 2025 with a total of $65 million set to be paid out.
The deal averages around $6.9 million per season after 2017.
Since taking over the Alabama football program, Saban has an impressive record of 114-19 with four national championships.
