VIDEO: Devon Gales Plays Catch For First Time Since Being Paralyzed

Former Southern University wide receiver Devon Gales has been an inspiration ever since a life-changing hit two years ago.

During a game against the Georgia Bulldogs, Gales was injured on when he was blocking on a kick return. Gales collided with Georgia’s Marshall Morgan and suffered a severe spinal cord injury.

Gales shattered his C6 vertebra and had his spinal cord pinched between his C4 and C5.

After surgery, it was determined that Gales was paralyzed, but he has never given up. Since the injury, Gales has dedicated himself to making a recovery and has posted inspiring videos that show him walking during rehab.

Now, he’s finally getting to throw and catch a football for the first time since his injury as well.

That is incredible to see.

We hope that Gales continues to keep his high spirits and making progress, because he truly is an inspiration to us all to never give up regardless of how difficult the circumstances may be.
