It seems like Colin Kaepernick might be only the second most outspoken person in his own family. After President Donald Trump’s meandering speech in Alabama on Friday took a shot at the NFL and anthem protests, Teresa Kaepernick fired back on Twitter.
Protests against the unnecessary violence levied against African Americans by the police in the United States led Colin Kaepernick to kneel during the National Anthem last season.
Kaerpenick received a lot of support from fellow players in the NFL, but very little from the ownership.
Now out of a job, the protests continue into the 2018 season, much to the chagrin of President Trump. So much so, that he started cussing during his speech.
“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners when someone disrespects our flag? Get that son of a bitch off the field right now. He’s fired. HE’S FIRED!”
Rather than come out and condemn obviously out of line comments, Teresa Kaepernick chose to support her son in a humorous way that also pointed out the ridiculousness of what was said.
Guess that makes me a proud bitch!

The NFL chose not address this part of Trump’s speech in their response to larger set of comments that implied safety measures taken by the league are making it soft.
The fact that Kaepernick remains on the open market three weeks into the season is an obvious indication of what the league thinks about the protests. Goodell not addressing this as part of his commits is a blatant omission, and further proves that Kaepernick is indeed being blackballed.
