Lane Kiffin Casts Heisman Vote For Jalen Hurts In Online Poll

The Alabama Crimson Tide are off to another dominant start this season. The Tide are scoring a ton of points and shutting down opposing defenses, outscoring their opposition 230-43 en route to a 4-0 start.
Remarkably, quarterback Jalen Hurts remains out of the Heisman Trophy race.
However, if you ask Florida Atlantic head coach and former Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin, that’s a travesty.
In his first year as the head honcho at FAU, Kiffin hasn’t been shy about endorsing his former pupils in Tuscaloosa.
Kiffin showed his support for Hurts by voting in an online poll.

Hurts has been putting up legitimate Heisman numbers to this point. He’s completing 64.3 percent of his passes and has accounted for four touchdowns and 550 yards through the air. Add another 360 yards rushing and three touchdowns on the ground, and it’s hard to fathom why he isn’t receiving at least some consideration.
Even with Saquon Barkley nabbing the majority of headlines, you’d think Hurts would fair better in the Heisman Trophy odds than USC’s Sam Darnold, or Ohio State’s J.T. Barrett.
