Charles Barkley will be the guest picker on ESPN College GameDay this weekend. That means brutal honesty throughout the entire morning, and an inevitable selection of Auburn over Alabama this weekend.
Barkley was already scheduled to be on campus at Auburn this weekend, as he is scheduled to have a statue in his likeness unveiled.

The Auburn Tigers currently sit as outsiders in the quest for the College Football Playoff. A win over the Alabama Crimson Tide could be enough to push them into he top four and their first CFP appearance. The Tigers are banged up though, coming off a major upset victory over Georgia two weeks ago, and a blowout win over Louisiana-Monroe.
Chuck keeps it real most of the time, but it’s hard to imagine him picking against his alma mater on the same weekend that they unveiled a statue in his honor on campus. That would be cold, even for Barkley.
This will be one of the toughest matches of the season for either team, and though Alabama figures to beat Auburn, you never know what might happen in the Iron Bowl. It’s been the source of some of college football’s most outrageous finishes in the past, and everyone is hoping for more of the same this year.
