National Championship tickets were hard to come by for Monday night’s College Football Playoff title game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs.
With an all-SEC title game in the middle of SEC country and in the Bulldogs’ backyard of Atlanta, tickets were going at a premium.
In fact, immediately after UGA punched their ticket to the championship game, Bulldogs fans crashed the StubHub website in search of tickets to the big game. Once the site came back up, tickets continued to sell at a high rate and are trending towards reaching an all-time high price.
Because of the price, a lot of fans are unable to purchase tickets to see their favorite team, but that is not the case for one lucky UGA football fan.
One fan surprised his father with tickets to Monday night’s championship and the emotional reaction will leave you thinking someone is cutting onions in your room.

Kickoff between the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs is set for 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
