The Alabama football program has lost out on another star to the NFL.
On Thursday afternoon, Crimson Tide defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick officially announced that he has declared for the 2018 NFL Draft.
Fitzpatrick joins teammates Ronnie Harrison, Bo Scarbrough, Da’Ron Payne and Calvin Ridley as underclassmen to make the decision to forego their final year of eligibility to make the jump to the pros.
Minkah Fitzpatrick: These last few years have been the best years of my life. We've accomplished a lot together. I've attended the best university in the world.

Fitzpatrick is a lock to be selected in the first round, with many people believing he will be a top ten pick. This season, the two-time All-American won the Jim Thorpe and Bednarik Award, becoming just the third player ever to win both honors in the same season.
