UFC light heavyweight Daniel Cormier puts his title on the line in the co-main event of UFC at TD Garden in Boston against Volkan Oezdemir on Saturday night.
Ahead of the event, the UFC set Cormier up for a call with someone who wanted to wish him good luck.
That someone was none other than Jon Jones.
Cormier was stunned, before busting into laughter. Then, he caught on to the joke. It wasn’t his rival Jon Jones, the former UFC light heavyweight champion, but instead Twitter user @JonJones, who always catches heat on social media when the UFC fighter has a misstep out of the cage.
It was a brilliant prank from the UFC.
