After months of rumors, Ronda Rousey made her long-awaited return to professional wrestling to cap off Sunday night’s WWE Royal Rumble.
Quickly after her appearance, news broke that she has signed a deal with WWE as a full-time talent.
What the exact plans for Rousey in WWE will be remain to be seen, but the warm welcome she received at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia made it immediately clear that she is still as big of a draw as ever.
Following the event, Rousey discussed her new role in WWE with ESPN and said it will be her new focus.
While Rousey would not slam the door shut on a potential return to mixed martial arts down the line, she did discuss her relationship with UFC boss Dana White and her desire to give him the “WWE bug.”

Rousey also discussed the welcome she received from WWE fans, saying she was completely overwhelmed and at a loss for words after getting the biggest pop of the night.

While there is no immediate word on any potential opponents for Rousey, it was clear from her appearance that she will be involved in this year’s WrestleMania.
