The Philadelphia Eagles claimed the first Lombardi Trophy in franchise history over the weekend by knocking off the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 52 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Immediately after the victory, Eagles fans stormed the streets of the city to celebrate the moment they have been waiting their entire lives for.
Now, it’s time for a more formal celebration.
On Thursday morning, the Eagles will hold their official championship parade to celebrate the big win over New England on Sunday night. As a word of advice from city officials:
Motorists should avoid the areas along and around the parade route, including Broad Street, Center City, and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Drivers should use alternate routes and allow for extra time when traveling in the area. Some bicycle lanes around the Parkway are also affected.
The parade is set to begin at 11:00 a.m. ET on Broad Street and Pattison, with the conclusion coming approximately two hours later in front of the icon “Rocky Steps” outside of the Art Museum.
