Ronda Rousey is currently training for her in-ring WWE debut at WrestleMania, but she recently took some time out to make the media rounds where she stopped by “The Ellen Show” to sit down with Ellen Degeneres to discuss a number of topics.
One of the topics that came up was a potential return to mixed martial arts, but don’t expect to be seeing the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion in the Octagon anytime soon.
When discussing her future, Rousey said that she will not officially retire from mixed martial arts but her return is about as likely as a return to judo. Rousey, who scored an Olympic bronze medal in judo, never officially retired from the sport but she walked away and never looked back.
“No one demanded a written resignation from me for judo and I don’t really think the same thing is necessary for fighting,” Rousey said during the interview. “I’m just doing what I enjoy and WWE is what I enjoy right now.”
Rousey’s last two UFC appearances ended with back-to-back knockouts. Since then, she has married UFC heavyweight Travis Browne and signed with WWE where she will team up with fellow Olympian Kurt Angle to take on Stephanie McMahon and Triple H on the biggest stage in professional wrestling.
