The eight-team field for the 2018 Women’s College World Series is set following a thrilling slate of games over Memorial Day weekend. Teams like Florida and Florida State needed some last-minute magic, with the Gators advancing on a Jordan Matthews walk-off homer and Seminoles needing extra innings to extend their hopes at a national title.
Now, the stage is set for the final road to the national championship which will take place at USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium — OGE Energy Field in Oklahoma City.
The eight teams vying for the national title are the Oregon Ducks, Florida Gators, UCLA Bruins, Oklahoma Sooners, Washington Huskies, Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Bulldogs, and Arizona State Sun Devils.
Bracket play will begin on Thursday, May 31 through Sunday, June 3 as the double-elimination portion of the tournament determines which two teams will ultimately battle it out for the national title.
