The 2018 college football season provides a lot of intrigue at the quarterback position. After Baker Mayfield, Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson all left for the NFL it left a slight void in talent under center. Meet Ilima-Lei Macfarle, the inaugural Bellator MMA women’s flyweight champion. Macfarlane graduated from San Diego State with a master’s degree focused in indigenous studies and hopes to share that knowledge because focusing on indigenous knowledge is “something that’s often overlooked or completely missing from a Western curriculum.”
