College Sports News

Larry Cotlar has passed away at age 66. Cotlar, who was a longtime sports radio personality and the voice of the Drake Bulldogs basketball team, was swept into a creek by floodwaters in Des Moines. Cotlar had been the play-by-play announcer for the Drake University men’s basketball program since 2005, and was named the Iowa Sportscaster of the Year in 2007. He also called Drake football games since 2013.

The Texas A&M football program has landed a recognizable name on the transfer market. Ben Miles, the son of former LSU Tigers head coach Les Miles, announced this weekend that he has decided to transfer to the Aggies from the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
