The first full Saturday of college football is in the books, and on Sunday, Sept. 2 we have an extra day to recover thanks to the long Labor Day weekend. College life can be busy, so at times it can be tough to keep up with the daily news cycle. That’s why we bring you Campus Connect, where you can catch the latest news in college sports and entertainment to keep on top of the buzz that everyone on campus will be talking about.

College Sports News

The first full Saturday of the 2018 college football season is here, which means it was time to introduce a new batch of uniforms to the nation. And as will be the case throughout the year, Aaron Dodson of The Undefeated joined SportsCenter ahead of College GameDay to give us an up-close look at some of the best uniforms of the weekend.

ESPN College GameDay headed to South Bend on Saturday, Sept. 1 for a season-opening matchup between the No. 12 Notre Dame Fighting Irish and No. 14 Michigan Wolverines in South Bend to officially kickoff the first full Saturday of college football action this season. Here are the best College GameDay signs from opening weekend.

In an incredibly classy gesture, the Maryland football program honored late teammate Jordan McNair by leaving the right guard position empty on the first play of the game. Texas declined the delay of game penalty to add to the touching moment.
