It’s Monday, April 22, so let’s start the final full week of the month. Just wait for 24 hours. College life can be busy, so at times it can be tough to keep up with the daily news cycle. That’s why we bring you Campus Connect, where you can catch the latest news in college sports and entertainment to keep on top of the buzz that everyone on campus will be talking about.
What happened last night? What events are coming up today? We have you covered with all of that and more.
Let’s dive right in.
The NCAA continues to be the villain of the collegiate world. Most recently the NCAA has hammered on down on the Cal Poly Mustangs basketball program for their recent compensation violations.
There have been some rumors swirling over the weekend that Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert has spoken with former Louisville head coach Rick Pitino about the team’s head coaching vacancy. The rumors immediately caught everyone’s attention, especially after Pitino’s success coaching overseas after being run out of the college game.

Kanye West brought church to the desert with his live choir and Easter Sunday Service special at Coachella on Sunday, April 21. During the set, Kanye performed a new song, titled “Water,” for the crowd in attendance. Controversial rapper Kodak Black is a walking, living meme. We were reminded of that over the weekend when the “Dying to Live” rapper took to social media to show off his new hairdo. Kodak decided to change hair colors and a video on Instagram revealed he has bleached his hair to a bright yellow.
