Photo: Here’s an Alabama jersey cake, because ‘Roll Tide’

Football season is just around the corner and fans are beginning to ramp up their excitement. For one fan, that means whipping up a delicious treat that pays homage to your favorite team.

Sabrina Givens, a pastry chef graduate of the French Culinary Institute, created a red velvet/Italian meringue buttercream cake that perfectly resembles a jersey for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The jersey cake goes into surprising detail and looks almost too good to eat.

Something tells me Miss Givens will be getting plenty of cake requests and “Roll Tide” messages in the future.

Alabama kicks off its 2016 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 3 against the USC Trojans at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys.
