South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier called Nick Saban “the greatest recruiter in the history of college football” earlier today.
He’s not lying.
Not too long after, Saban reeled in two 2016 commitments on Tuesday.
Kentwood high school (Kentwood, Louisiana) Shyheim Carter and Savannah County Day school (Savannah, Georgia) wide receiver Demetris Robinson pledged to join the Tide.
Robinson (6’0, 170) is expected to be one of the top players in the country for the 2016 class. He chose Alabama over Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, among others.
Carter (5’10, 180) chose the Tide over Clemson, Georgia, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, and Tulane.
Saban proves once again that he has the ability to go into anyone’s territory and entice prospects to come to Tuscaloosa.
