Oklahoma’s quarterback situation has been very dynamic of late to say the least. First former starter Trevor Knight transfers to Texas A&M for his final year of eligibility, then backup Cody Thomas announces he’s leaving the program to focus on baseball.
Sunday, head coach Bob Stoops offered his thoughts on Thomas’ departure.

Thomas played on the baseball team as a true freshman in 2014, going 1 for 12 with one RBI. He also started three games at quarterback for the Sooners that year filling in for Knight, going 2-1.
Thomas does have major league potential in baseball, he was drafted in the 30th round by the New York Yankees coming out of high school in 2013.
