Alabama-Wisconsin Tilt Scheduled For Primetime on ABC

The college football opening weekend matchup between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Wisconsin Badgers at Dallas’s AT&T Stadium will be shown in primetime. Kevin McGuire of NBC Sports’ College Football Talk reported the announcement.

The game will be broadcast on ABC and will be the first of three games on the network that will feature Big Ten teams. This contest will take place on September 3 at 8 p.m., while the defending champion Ohio State Buckeyes will open their season on Labor Day against Virginia Tech. On September 12, Michigan State will face off against Oregon.

All in all, there could not be a better game slated to kick off the season. Alabama is coming off of another phenomenal campaign under Nick Saban, having made the inaugural College Football Playoff as the No. 1 seed before being upset by Ohio State.

On the other side of the field, Wisconsin will be coming off a 10-3 (7-1 Big Ten) season, but will have a new head coach in Paul Chryst and no dynamic running back in Melvin Gordon III, who was drafted into the NFL by the San Diego Chargers.

That said, mark your calendars, fans! The 2015 season is shaping up to be a great one so far.
