Scary hit causes DQ in Bowling Green-Purdue game

There was a terrifying hit in today’s game between the Bowling Green Falcons and Purdue Boilermakers that left one player injured and out for the rest of the game and another ejected, and it wasn’t pretty. Purdue wideout Domonique Young received a pass from quarterback David Blough and was tackled shortly after, but a dirty hit by Bowling Green safety Eilar Hardy after the fact added to it.

Video of the hit, in which Young can be seen taking a hit from Hardy square into his helmet, was posted on Twitter by Big Ten Network.

Hardy was subsequently ejected from the game for targeting, and Young has since been ruled out for the game. Needless to say, there was no reason for this to happen and Hardy will be disciplined accordingly.

Campus Sports will update Young’s condition as any new information becomes available.
