Week 4 of the 2016 college football season is in the books, so the weekly honors are beginning to roll out. For Bowling Green Falcons punter Joseph Davidson, that meant adding a piece of hardware to his trophy case despite an embarrassing 77-3 loss to Memphis last weekend.
On Monday, the Augusta Sports Council and Ray Guy Award announced Johnston has been named the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week.
Davidson had a total of eight punts for 379 yards in Week 4.
The junior punter averaged 47.4 yards per punt with five punts marked inside the 20-yard line. Davidson’s net average was 46.9, while his long punt was 68 yards.
Congratulations to Joseph Davidson on the honor.
