Georgia punter Marshall Long is having a rough day

It’s been a rough year for Georgia Bulldogs specialists.

It all started earlier this year when Twitter ruthlessly mocked freshman kicker Rodrigo Blankenship for lining up to kick a field goal against Ole Miss wearing glasses and still missing.

Then, there was this fed up Bulldogs fan who started a GoFundMe campaign for a scholarship kicker.

Unfortunately for punter Marshall Long, that string of bad luck continued on Saturday in the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.

After booting one of his punts on the afternoon, Long was drilled by a member of the Florida Gators punt coverage team. If that wasn’t bad enough, Long was then drilled by the penalty flag thrown by the referee.

Poor guy.

Punters are people, too. Hopefully things turn around for Long before the end of the day. If there is one big of good news for Georgia and its punter, it is that the Bulldogs currently lead Florida, 10-7, late in the first quarter.
