Will Jon Gruden be the next Vols football coach?
That’s a question that everyone in Knoxville and the college football world are wondering ever since Tennessee finally decided to part ways with head coach Butch Jones.
Gruden has had opportunities to return to coaching in the past, but he has always decided to stick with his current Monday Night Football gig.
Whether that changes anytime soon remains to be seen, but Gruden is clearly having some fun with all of the rumors.
During an appearance on Seattle radio Thursday morning, Gruden brought up Tennessee unprompted. Those comments created some buzz among the Vols faithful, especially after the coach showed his respect for “Rocky Top.”

It’s a very real possibility that every Tennessee fan reacted in the manner the radio host did.
