Nicholas Petit-Frere Commitment: Top OT Chooses Ohio State

Nicholas Petit-Frere was one of the many five-star recruits to announce their college decision early Wednesday morning to kickoff National Signing Day 2018.
Petit-Frere, the nation’s No. 1 offensive tackle out of Berkeley Prep in Tampa, Florida, announced that he will be heading to Columbus to join Urban Meyer and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
The Buckeyes landed Petit-Frere after he made his final official visit to Columbus last weekend.
The 6-foot-6, 272-pounder was playing his cards close to his chest until officially making his announcement.
Petit-Frere’s finalists were Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State.
Petit-Frere has incredible upside and “does a good job of pumping his legs and driving through his opponent, and is always looking to put his opponent flat on their back,” according to the 247 Sports scouting profile.
On top of being the nation’s top offensive tackle, Petit-Frere was the No. 3 ranked prospect in the state of Florida and the No. 7 overall recruit in the nation.
It’s a major get for the Buckeyes.
Stay tuned to Campus Sports throughout the day for the latest National Signing Day announcements.
