Tanner McKee Commits To Stanford On National Signing Day

Tanner McKee was one of the most intriguing prospects set to make their college decision on National Signing Day. McKee, who is the No. 3 pro-style quarterback in the nation, announced that he will be joining the Stanford football program.
McKee will not be joining the Cardinal for two years, however, as he puts his college career on hold to serve a Mormon mission trip.

“Academically, Stanford is about as good as you’re going to get,” McKee said, via 247 Sports. “I really felt at home there on my official visit and I related really well with the players on the team and other recruits there.

“They were just like me in so many ways and I had a strong comfort level there. I have a great relationship with the coaching staff as well. We have known each other for four years now so it’s a perfect fit for me.”

McKee was also believed to be considering Alabama, BYU, Texas, Texas A&M and Washington.
