Kevin Hester Jr. wasn’t a household name in the recruiting world, but that is all changing now thank to some stunning news just days into his career. That’s right, after just eight days as a high school football player, Hester has received scholarship offers from two Division I programs.
Hester, who is a 6-foot-5, 230-pounder out of North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Georgia, received his first scholarship offer from Southern Miss before receiving one four days later from Boston College.
Hester was happy to share the news on social media.

While Hester is new to the gridiron, he has plenty of experience on the basketball court. He reportedly has played for eight years and currently plays for the Atlanta Celtics of the AAU and Adidas Gauntlet Gold division. However, it looks like his future could be in football after making the leap of faith and joining the football program after being pursued by his high school coach.
It is working out so far.
