College Football Rankings: Phil Steele Releases 2018 Top 25

The 2018 college football season is just over a month away, but that hasn’t stopped analysts from looking ahead to the upcoming year. On Tuesday, July 10, Phil Steele has dropped his highly-anticipated top 25 rankings. Sitting in the top spot is — you guessed it — the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Steele has the most popular college football preview magazine, so his preseason top 25 always generates plenty of attention.
Rounding out the top 25 is the Clemson Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Washington Huskies, and Georgia Bulldogs.
Wisconsin pops into the top ten at No. 6, but the general response has been that No. 8 Notre Dame and No. 10 Texas are among the most overrated teams entering the new year. After all, the Fighting Irish and Longhorns consistently have been underwhelming in recent years.
