Los Angeles Lakers president Magic Johnson doesn’t appear to be too impressed with LaVar Ball, the brash, outspoken father of the team’s star rookie and former No. 2 overall pick Lonzo Ball. After LaVar knocked Lakers head coach Luke Walton and recent point guard signee Rajon Rondo, Johnson decided to finally respond.
While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Johnson took a swipe at LaVar when he was asked whether he consulted the Big Baller Brand patriarch before the team made it’s high-profile signing of LeBron James.
“I would’ve called you first before I called LaVar Ball. Trust me,” Johnson joked in response.

We wonder how long it will take for Johnson to hear a response from Ball.

The lakers are coming off of a 35-47 campaign in 2017-18, which was the franchise’s 70th season. The team was led by Ball, and fellow rookie Kyle Kuzma. Los Angeles also has promising talents like Brandon Ingram, Julius Randall, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
