Patterson (Patterson, Louisiana) wide receiver Daylon Charlot ended the drama on Wednesday and signed with Alabama over LSU.
Charlot was committed to Alabama at one point but reopened his recruitment to make sure he was making the best decision for his future.
The Louisiana native flirted with the LSU Tigers but ultimately signed with the Crimson Tide.
With the departure of Amari Cooper to the NFL, Alabama will be looking for a receiver to step up and be become a go-to player and leader.
LSU and Alabama have gone head-to-head over the years and Charlot’s recruitment was no different. The Crimson Tide have had much success infiltrating the state of Louisiana since Nick Saban has taken over and many of the players have gone on to have successful careers in Tuscaloosa.
The Crimson Tide are hoping to land another top-ranked recruiting class in 2o15.
