Butch Jones is staying in the SEC despite being fired by the Tennessee Volunteers during the offseason. After being fired, Alabama football coach Nick Saban continued his trend of scooping up former head coaches and allowing them to work with the Crimson Tide.
Jones doesn’t have an official role on Saban’s coaching staff. He is currently an “intern” in the program but that hasn’t stopped him from appearing at functions. The latest example was Jones’ presence at Saban’s home during a recent visit from a recruit.
The recruit was Jahleel Billingsley, a four-star tight end prospect. His father, Charles, was also along for the trip to Tuscaloosa and shared a video on social media of Jones in Saban’s home.
In the video, the former Vols head coach can be seen dropping a “Roll Tide” which is something we will never get used to seeing.

Apparently Jones was rocking the mic with some karaoke, too.

It looks like Butch Jones is really enjoying that intern life.
Alabama opens its 2018 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 1 against the Louisville Cardinals.
